I really like the look of SGs, but I don't like tiltback headstocks. What do you guys think would be the best straight headstock shape for one?

When you say "inline", usually that refers to the tuner arrangement. But, it sounds like you're asking for something non-tiltback.

If you want both, my favorite is the "Warhead". Straight, unpretentious headstock with inline tuners that isn't so huge it could do double duty as a pizza peel...

If you'd rather the 3 + 3 tuner arrangement that's typical for that style guitar but is non-tiltback, an unassuming design that fits the bill would be the Snakehead...

It's also a symmetric shape, in keeping with the symmetry of the SG-style body.

You could also buy into the straight paddlehead...

...and cut it to whatever shape floats your boat. Drill some tuner holes in it, and call it a love story.

If you want to go with a ready to use design I would agree with Cagey on the Warhead.  But if you want something a bit more unusual you might consider the Gibson Vegas headstock design in a non-tiltback neck.

How about an SG with an Explorer peghead - not tilted back, ala the Kramer hockeystick era.
