Okay, somebody posted a thread dedicated to the WORST covers ever, but how'bout those good ones?  Post a link to the original, and the remake. :D

I like the Ministry one a lot better.

Edit: I'm having an impossible time getting youtube embeds to work on this forum for some reason, is there a trick to it since I can't get the old youtube or new youtube embeds to work right.

AutoBat, yes, it was!  One of the best covers of a song I've ever heard.

While I'm not an overly huge fan of Disturbed, I can say that they've never butchered a song they've covered.  They have always brought something positive to their cover songs.

I'm also stuck at work, so no youtube access, but Joe Cocker's cover of With a Little Help From My Friends is IMO the best re-interpretation of a song ever.

Agreed. It's not that aggressive or angry music isn't great sometimes, but it's so easy to take the piss out of it ... and lounge music is a brilliant genre for piss-takes on over-aggressive tunes.
