OK, I'm in a bit of a quandary:

My nice pretty BK body has been carved up for a 13 pin jack.
I own a set of Graphtech Ghost saddles for the VS100 on it.
The VS100 is gold.
My Yamaha G-50 doesn't work with Piezo.
Piezos on a trem are pointless, both because of handling noise and because when you dive the signal drops due to reduced pressure.

Right now the trem is blocked. Which is fine, but I only need the saddles (which are black). Which means I have a set of gold saddles laying around. Having a trem guitar might be fun, but the trem parts I have are gold. Not sure I need another gold hw guitar. If I had a bridge carrier that would hold the saddles, I could fill the trem cavity completely and screw a flatmount in.

Then there's MIDI. I could keep the G-50 and get a GK-3 (magnetic pickup). I could sell the G-50 and get something which works with Piezo (GR-55, GP-10). This has the advantage of having a self contained MIDI sound generator, although I wasn't real impressed with the horns I heard on the GR-55 videos on youtube, and that's the most important aspect of getting MIDI for me. If I put a magnetic hex pickup on, I need to figure out what to do with the piezos. Of course, that also means I can stick my gold saddles back on my gold trem, unblock it  and use the piezos for something else. (And I'd still need to figure out what to do with them. Sell? A VS100 compatible mounting plate really only needs to be an L shaped plate with holes for the intonation screws and strings. ) But the big gaping hole means this body will be forever sporting a 13 pin jack.

After I wrote it out, I think the GK pickup makes the most sense. I guess I should sell the ghost setup or else plan another build. GK externals are cheaper and can be busted open for an internal install.

Maybe they can be the extra pickguard screw that starts the baritone
