bass neck thickness

so, I've heard that all Warmoth necks are the same thickness (from the top of the fretboard to the back of the neck), and the only difference is the headstocks. is that true? cause a bass I was building, I was wanting a neck as thick as the old Telecaster basses/Yamaha Attitude LTD's. I played a '73 Telecaster Bass some years ago, and I always loved how thick that neck was! it was like a freakin baseball bat! but, can anyone shed some light on this? would anyone happen to know the thickness of a real tele neck and a Yamaha Attitude LTD neck? and if the W necks are all the same, anyone know where I can get as thick of a neck as the old Tele/Attitude LTD necks?

W necks come in standard thin (Fender-ish) and superthin, which is a top secret option that you have to call them for. If you want thicker than a P bass neck, you're probably not going to get it here.

I'm with you on the fat necks, I love Warwick's huge U profile. But I learned on a Fender and getting back into it wasn't impossible.

damn. well, if anyone has played a second gen Tele bass, they know what I'm talking about! I loved that neck, and I want it on Rosalinda! (future bass' name)

the 8 string necks come in fatback only. maybe they can make a custom one for you with the fatback contour?

But the 8 string also has an 8 string headstock...
Does Warmoth do a paddle head for the 8 strings, so you could cut it into a Tele headstock?
