Hi all, I'm putting together my first build, planned to be a Thinline Ash Tele with a Maple neck.

Does anybody see a problem with putting Bare Knuckle Yardbirds in this build? I really, really like what I've heard of them, but I haven't heard what they will do in a Thinline.

I had a brief discussion with Ben at BKP and he also suggested the Flat 52 Blackguards, which also sounded promising.

Is there any reason the Yardbirds wouldn't be awesome in a Thinline?

I'm sure it all depends on what sound you are going for, but I used the 55 Stagger Blackguards one of my Teles. A couple of my professional musician friends liked how it sounded so much that they had me replace their stock pickups with BKs! Almost a year later, they both continue to tell me how impressed they are with their BKs. I wire mine with a 4-way switch and get quite a range of tones out of them.

I haven't used the 52s or the Yardbirds, but I love my 55s. In fact I have several different BK pup sets and the only one I haven't been totally please with was a Slowhand set. But, I think that has more to do with the guitar than it does with the pickups!  :dontknow:

I don't have Thinline, so I'm not sure the tonal difference to my standard Tele. But, Ben has never steered me wrong!
