August 2013 Guitar of the Month Contest Submissions (7 entries)

Hello all,

We're now announcing the August, 2013 Guitar of the Month contest!  August's contest will be "Owner Finished" and requires at least a Warmoth neck or body to qualify.

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

Submissions must be sent, to uwfgom@gmail.com, and contain two images no greater than 1024x768, along with your description and details of the instrument.  Send your submission in plain text email.  Your photos must be attachments to the email.  Your unOfficialWarmoth Forum user name must be included in the body of the email.

In turn, your images will posted to this message, which is August's submission thread.

Submissions will be accepted from August 1st until August 7th, so get your cameras clicking!

As usual, all discussion for the submissions can take place below, along with other pictures hosted by the poster.

Customised - rounded off the edges, made a contour heel etc etc

3 way toggle.
1 x Vol + 1 x Tone, orange drop cap.
Hipshot Chrome Knobs.
Chrome back Ferrules.

Finished with a clear water base, then some shellac to try and darken bits.

It is owner finished this month, as it was 2 months ago, in which there were only 2 entries. 

But, the other posts suggest they just haven't been loaded by the contest host yet.

Don't be too hard on yourself! :) yours looks cracking! Almost like a 3D printed guitar they've started to do...looks ace! :)

Your Tele is awesome Updown! Very innovative, I love it!  :occasion14: And, I bet getting all those worms to go where you want them to was a lot of work!  :toothy12:

Updown's entry is one of the most original guitars I've seen in a long time. It looks like a sponge, or Swiss cheese, or something termites with artistic taste would make. Whatever inspired the design, you did an incredible job!
