Arcade neck???

Just browsed the in-stock for some regular guitar porn and find out the Jackson necks will be discontinued? Then I went back neck builder because I could swear I saw the Jackson neck there before.
No, it was called Arcade and looks almost like the Jackson headstock but with a super ugly addition on the lower edge...  :sad1:

As far as I can tell, there's no indication the Jackson headstock is being discontinued. It's just called the Jack-1 now. Besides Jackson is owned by Fender not Gibson, no reason to discontinue it..

I was taken aback a bit by this as well, and Nope the Jack-1 is gone...

From the showcase:
"This is the last time this headstock will be available. Get it while you can!!"

this was listed on the last one in stock...

Oddly enough they managed to somehow bring back the hockey stick K style.....

I am thoroughly confused now.

Any mods want to weigh in on this?

No the Jack-1 is still listed in the headstock options. But it's called the arcade on the page when you open it up. Still the same headstock, just has a tumor on it now. Nothing a little sander can't take care of..

it is virtually the same but my confusion surround the return of the K style and that minor change to the J-1.

The had to change a approved and licensed design, yet are able to produce one that was included in the C&D order last feb?  :icon_scratch:

Right on the sander part, but not everyone wants an unfinished neck.

More work for Tonar and other people who do finishes... What they do reminds me of the USACG headstocks, it's the "shave it a little to get there or close to original" approach which is fine if they don't have the rights for certain headstocks but they will lose money from finishes. The majority of players who order parts want maple & mahogany because they are the "traditional" woods so they will shave them first and then finish them.

see I wanted that when I built mine this summer, but they pulled back in Feb. last year after the C&D order, just glad I got my J style before the tumors.....

The Jack-1 and KWS headstocks are done.

The new, similar styles are the Arcade and Slapshot.
