Haven't seen one of those in quite a while; for $200 I'd jump on it if working; to the best of my recollection it was a modded Bassman circuit with primary difference being it used a solid state rather than a tube rectifier.
Be advised those things are HEAVY, like 75-80 lbs.
If it was one that came with JBL speakers instead of Jensens, the speakers are worth more than $200

Bassman? $200? Buy it!!! Does it work? What year is it?
I have a '64 head that I love. I sold the cabinet last year for way too little money on Ebay. How do I know? I put what I thought was a pretty high buy it now price and it lasted all of about 3 hours. I wish I would have just let it go at auction, but oh well :-\ I love the way mine sounds, and it's one of the few things I own that is actually worth a substantial amount of money. I have thought about selling it 10 times but I never have the heart. And now that the guy I bought it from passed on to the great gig in the sky I really don't have the heart to sell it. I'm not shy about gigging with it either..... it's not perfect, the tolex is trashed but honestly I don't care, it sounds absolutely awesome! All the hardware on it is original and I am pretty sure it is unmolested inside.
Anyway, back to your bassman. I might be partial to them, but I think they sound freakin awesome, all the bassmans, old and reissues. It seems like the price is right too. Hey if you don't like it, I'm sure you'll be able to get your $200 back out of it.
