I'm a long-time Warmoth user, new to this forum. I got my first warmoth strat in 2003.

I placed a custom unfinished neck order on 5-3-20. Has anyone ordered around that time got an update or order fulfilled?

I'm currently finishing a guitar in nitrocellulose so, It's going to be a while before I can use it anyway.

Thank you,

Marcus

I ordered a neck April 17th and requested to add an ebony peghead veneer in the notes section. Whenever you do that someone contacts you w/ an updated quote for approval, this hasn't happened yet.
I had also ordered a showcase neck on March 24th and got contacted about it last week.

Be patient, they'll sort through it but it'll take time judging by the above.

Update: 05/26: got contacted about the 04/17 order to confirm the addition of the headstock veneer.

I got a roasted maple, vintage construction strat neck w/rosewood board. I'll probably get it somewhere around the time I'm ready to sand & final polish the body lol. I've heard you don't have to finish roasted maple.

Ordered a showcase neck no finish plus a nut on 4/23. Shipped on 5/18.

Ordered a showcase roasted maple neck on 4/15, received it last week. Ordered another showcase roasted maple neck on 4/24 and it shipped scheduled to be delivered in a few days. Also ordered a custom build Tele body on 4/24 with questions in the notes and I haven’t been contacted yet, but I expect to sometime soon and knew this would take awhile.

All in all, I’m impressed with the effort they’re putting forth to provide service during these times. Gives me time to still test out dye patterns and finishes. Good luck.

Correct. There is no finish required on Roasted Maple. I've seen several where a light oil finish has been applied, the Charvel DK24's for example, but to my hand there wasn't any noticeable difference to playing them raw.

I've got two RM necks now and probably won't use anything else again. They are slick and smooth and have just the right amount of weight, bite and sustain. You'll love it.

I might do a light coat of nitro on the front and back. I plan on doing a decal

I think i may do a light coat of lacquer front and back just for applying a decal, and to have a smooth back.
