Anniversary!

I would be really touched if I got a telescope or a fieldscope. I'd pick up bird watching more seriously if nothing else :)

I think you have a point. Still doesn't make it very romantic though :P

How cute! You think there's still romance after 48 years of marriage.  :toothy12: :tard: :laughing11::laughing7:

Come to think of it, if I married today, 48 years from now, a sextant is going to be some ancient piece of crap that would make a terrible gift.

Kind of like giving your spouse a sundial. "WTF is this rudimentary old device, and where's my Rolex?" :blob7:

Lol.  I gave my husband an ancient Roman spearhead and a bronze age Viking ring for Christmas.  A sextant is like... some new fangled contraption to us.

Weren't you into pirate coins or something btw?

So congrats, how was Disneyland?  I love Disneyland.

I remeber as a kid the family would gather arround the set, and watch Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins, and then The Wonderfull World of Disney,  hosted by Walt Disney himself  Both shows were an hour long, it was a great time. Popcorn, pajamas, blankets and dad every once in a while " Pipe Down or go to bed"

Disneyland was insane.  We were there for 13 hours, went on 18 rides or some crazy number.  It was fun though, we made the most out of it.  We caught Fantasmic and the fireworks too.

Luckily we got in for free since we have buddies that work there.  Otherwise we wouldn't have gone because it's $75 just to get into Disneyland and $95 if you want a park-hopper ticket these days.  Highway robbery, in my opinion.

I'm into pirate stuff in general.  My husband gave me a real pirate coin from a shipwreck for our anniversary a couple years ago.  It's pretty cool.
