Married one year today! :toothy10:  Time goes by fast.  We're going to Disneyland tomorrow to celebrate... because we both have work today. :(

Wow, that was fast.
I could swear it was only like 6 months ago you were posting about your wedding plans.

Have fun!

Congrats on your 1st wedding anniversary, Hannuagh. May you have many more.

Maybe when you get to one of those milestone anniversaries, you can con hubby into getting you a Gretsch Anniversary? :icon_thumright:

Green, with your initials on it. (I think she'll understand what I'm talking about  :laughing7:)

That, my friend, is the Double Anniversary (with the two pickups).  Old ones had either single or double pickup, hence the single or double anni monikers in the vintage world.  By my count, you're due to get one a year from now!  Congratulations!!

Well upon closer inspection and research, unfortunately Hannah is going to have to wait a few years for her Gretch.  Wood is traditionally the 5th anniversary gift, and in modern terms it is the 6th anniversary gift.

WOW, didn't see it before... MAN THE TIME IS FLYING

Congrats hannaugh! That year went by quickly...!

"48th  Optical Goods" - so after 48 years you get a pair of glasses? Look, I work in that business, and glasses aren't that romantic :icon_scratch:

Traditions are weird.

"We've been married 48 years, which is why I present to you these scleroid contact lenses that look like cat's eyes."

... yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Traditions are weird.

Maybe optical goods were really expensive or something back in the day?

Remember, there was the time when something so simple as owning a book was a sign of great wealth.

What if you don't even need glasses?  Are you supposed to get them a microscope or something?

... wait, that would actually be kind of cool.
