The "Pro" construction that has the side access adjustment is a Good Thing. Those necks are remarkably stable. Basically a "set it and forget it" truss rod. Plus, you don't have the inaccessible heel adjuster or the unsightly headstock adjuster. On top of all that, it allows for a wider variety of neck meats because you don't have to have a scarf joint to hold the headstock on. It really is a superior design.
