Lovely part, that one is.  You makin' your own body, Robert, or are you gonna let Warmoth do it this time?  I still have my one-piece mahogany blank lying around unused.

Ooooo yeah.  Nice man.  You had a spare neck screw lying about, did ya?
Actually, I had 4 of them so it wasn't just an excuse. :icon_biggrin:

I'm going to make another one from scratch. This time I need to make the pattern first so it'll be all original. I am also going to modify that headstock some.

Thanks, Ian. I'm looking forward to seeing that piece of mahogany in person.

Looks very good. What are you going to pair it with?

(I think you may have a typo in your post)

Thanks. I have several choices but it will probably go on the new build. Unless I get the bug to buy still another neck. :icon_biggrin:

Didn't see any typos but it's late and I'll look again tomorrow when I'm running on all cylinders.

edit: I made one correction for clarification in my first post.

One week! It's sitting on my worktable right now. How the heck does Warmoth get that out so fast? Now I guess it's time to get to work. :icon_thumright:

I mean, they had to install the frets, mount the nut, drill the tuner holes, pack the thing up and ship it out so it could get here in a week.

I didn't get a shipping notice so it came as a total surprise. Of course, I never get shipping notices on these things. So what? The things arrive when they do, but this was super fast. I'm impressed.

So I decided this will go on the Telerauder and I'll have to order another neck for the new build. Works for me. :icon_biggrin:

This one will go on the next build. Ordered this morning.

6-Inline Offset Paddle, Gibson Scale (24-3/4") Conversion, Right Handed, Roasted Maple, Indian Rosewood (Dark) Fretboard, 1-11/16" Nut Width, Standard thin, SS6150 (Stainless), Schaller (25/64") Tuner Ream, 22 frets, 10-16" Compound Radius, Cream Face Dots Inlay, White Side Dots, GraphTech White TUSQ XL - Standard Nut, Standard 4 Bolt

This one will take a little longer to get here since it's a build to order.

Rather than try to find a case that will fit the next build, I decided to come at it from a different direction.

I bought a standard sized case and am making the patterns to fit the case. :icon_biggrin:  :laughing7:

A wise move with the case.

I never answered about the typo, but check the ream and tuner dimensions you mentioned.

Thanks. A few adjustments to the initial pattern drawing and it'll fit like a glove. At least in that case. (In this case) :laughing11:

I checked the tuner ream and, yes, it was wrong. Thanks for that. It's corrected, now.

I just got a UPS notification that my custom ordered neck is to be delivered Thursday. That will be 3 weeks total from the order date until it shows up at my door. Again, I'm impressed with the fast service. :icon_thumright:

The custom one arrived but it was a 25-1/2" scale and I'd ordered a 24-3/4" one. They're re-making it now. It was a damn beautiful neck. Boy, it was hard to send that one back.

Meanwhile, I put inserts in the first one and re-shaped the headstock. This one will go on the Roadhouse.

Thanks, Frank. I tried a whole lot of ideas (on the computer, of course), before I hit on that one. It's amazing how slight changes can make a huge difference in looks.

I just got shipping notice for the replacement neck to arrive Friday. Roasted maple/dark rosewood, 24-3/4" scale, inline paddlehead, SS6150 frets. :icon_thumright: This one will go on whatever I make following the Roadhouse. I already have most of the parts except for a block of wood for the body. I'm not sure what to go with for that. My mind keeps revolving around different ideas but will probably settle on alder, maybe roasted.
