I picked up an old Bill Lawrence L90 pickup (2 Henries) and may piece together an hss strat pickguard to experiment with.  Correct me if I'm wrong but the humbucker is relatively low output so what would be a good match for a couple single coils to go with it?

I'll probably just scour Ebay for used pickups to match with it but some direction would be helpful.  I play mainly blues/classic rock.

I put it in the neck position of a mahogany guitar.  Bridge pickup is a Dimarzio AT1.  I thought sure the AT1 would be much louder and it would't be a good combo.  I was wrong.  I'm not sure how Henries relates to output, but they seem to have similar loud-osity.

Hi-fi and clear.  Has a surprisingly nice balance of tight lows and highs that don't thin out.  I've held out on trying a Bill Lawrence pickup but am glad I did.  Pretty unique pickup and is very useful.  Volume is similar to the AT1 with the AT1 being hotter.  The two fit really well together with a three-position switch.  Suggested to try if you haven't already.  I'm having fun with it.  Definitely cuts through in a band situation.
