Indeed!!!! So hideous that I'm going to get Rick Canton to build one for me to my specs.

Seems like a Strandberg with a different body shape.

Also, on the note about technical prowess and musicality, they do sometimes go hand in hand;

Catchy, interesting and complex at the same time. No I'm-the-best-and-I-know-it form of attitude either, very humble.

Tosin is an AMAZING original player.

I've seen Animals as Leaders twice & got to meet him after the show & he couldn't have been nicer & more friendly....& a snappy dresser to boot.

Chimp Spanner is also in that vien & pretty amazing stuff with more of a Fusion vibe, which I like better, being a die hard Fusion Fanatic.

I'm a huge fan of Tosin's playing, too and the especially scary thing is that he's getting even better.  I love that he cites bass players and guys like Kurt Cobain as musical influences on par with the more expected technically proficient guitarists.  He's one of the first players I've seen actually use an "extendended range guitar" (7/8 strings) as such.  He just recently began using headless guitars as well:

Especially when they need tricky strings that you can't buy just anywhere.

Actually, nearly all modern headless guitars work with single ball strings. Mine has clamps like a Floyd Rose and I use ordinary Elixirs.

Aren't Elixers awesome? They lowered the price from $21 to $12 a set here so I tried a set for fun, & WOW, I ain't going back to regular strings again.  :icon_thumright:

I love them, and probably for the same reason most people hate them. I prefer the feeling of coated strings; they feel new and lubricated all the time, and I like that there's a slight filtering of squeaky noises.

They're not all that. I don't like when the coating starts to peel off. I'll stick with regular strings...especially for electric guitar.

Try some DRs. They get coated before the strings are wrapped. This is such a better way. There are others who do this as well.

I've had and enjoyed elixirs on my acoustic, but have had weird experiences with the coating flaking off/chipping, and I do feel like you sacrifice some brightness/tone with them.
