Advice....

I want to get a scalloped neck, but ive gotten mixed reviews on them. ive also never used one.  My guitar instructor says he hates it, he has a blues-ish style of playing (i do to). I wanted to try one out but i cant find a place that has any. It sounds great and doesnt require as much power and strength as non-scalloped. I also hear that warmoth's scalloping is extremely deep, would a fat neck fix that?

also. im looking for as much sustain on the guitar as possible. what are the BEST sustain options out there? (idc how much it costs)

This is ütterly a PERSONAL preference... If you ask me I would say it's mostly used by shredders and people with a very soft playing... But it could be said about by some about big frets, what I like...

I hate it, some people love it... DON'T ASK FOR IT BEFORE PLAYING IN A SCALLOPED GUITAR! You can either love or hate, you'd better decide before make the decision...



Best sustain options? FAT back contours and FAT body (the carved tops one, except the Tele Carved Top, which is same thickness as the flat top)... I think the Boatneck or Fatback will be the best, I liked 80% of the Fatback I've, thinking now I would guess the Boatneck would fits my hands better...

But you've to know: BIG tone comes from BIG necks and BIG bodies, what is exactly the opposite of playing easy...
