Adjusting my truss rod.

I believe my neck has a very slight bow in it it follows the curve that I have put on the picture below.

Which way do I have to turn the truss rod to get the neck straight?  Left or right, as in picture 2, and how much?

It has too much relief and needs to be tightened.  So you would turn it clockwise.  And usually you only turn it 1/4 turn then let it sit for a while to give the neck time to adjust(24hrs).  By your arrows clockwise would be from right to left while looking at the nut from the headstock.

Here's a good link I refer back to that's pretty good.  http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com/trussrods.htm

Just saw that my last sentence might be a little confusing.  I say right to left because I use a rachtet and socket most of the times.  If using a screw driver type of wench, just remember clockwise to tighten and you'll be fine.

Looking at the nut from the top of the actual nut:

Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.

The standard for most threaded applications.
