Acrylic clear lacquer on shellac

i was wondering if a few coats of acrylic clear lacquer is going to hurt the shellac i used to seal the body and neck of a project i`m working on.

acrylic lacquer is water based if i`m correct and shellac doesn`t like water.

is this true?

Should be fine once the Shellac is dried.
