A very patriotic Ibanez Redo

Some of my evh type paint jobs have got noticed.  This job is an evh style American flag.  No solid colors here.  Just red and blue tint over a white base with silver metal flake.  I am only going to tease with this one.  It started life as a black ibanez POS.

Headstock only.  You can see the trans red.  I had some bleed thru here but it will be hidden by my logo.

You bet.  I did a lot of intercoat sanding with 400 grit.  The tape lines leave ridges and I like to knock them down a bit.  The Watco lacquer sets up very fast for sanding.  I wait just 24 hours between coats and about 5 days before final sand and polish.

The metal flake comes across a defects with the camera.  I sent the customer a photo before he picked it up.  He wondered what was wrong until he picked it up.  LOL
