A quick and dirty mock up of what I have coming....

I wasn't sure where this should go so I decided to put it here.  This is the Bengal Burst LP and the associated neck I have on the way.  I have almost all of the parts in at this point.

25.5" Scale Neck (I was going to try and get a 24 3/4 with trapezoids, but by the time I called in they had already fretted the neck)

I'm still deciding whether or not to go with cream of black pup rings.  Gregg's build made me question my choice of cream.

You can't really see it in the top picture, but it has a cream binding.  It just got washed out a bit by the background.

gonna darken the peghead?  How about a veneer on it?  or dye it dark, or lacquer it dark and oil the rest?

I kind of like the contrast.  It's all a little lighter than the actual guitar will be as I head to do some color adjustment when I copied it into photoshop. For some reason it came in with a kind of grey haze over the images.  Nothings really set yet, but one of the things I really liked about the neck cosmetically speaking was the wood grain on the peg board so I would hate to cover it up with a veneer.  Things are always subject to change once I have them in front of me though and can actually put them together and see exactly how everything works.  It just kind of depends.  If it turns out I'm not a fan of the contrast though, i may have it darkened up one way or another.  However, Warmoth is putting a Satin finish on it for me, so I don't know what I will be able to do once that is done.  I'm generally new to this so suggestions are certainly welcome.

maybe they can do transparent finish on face, and satin clear on rest of neck.  Have the face match the back of body (sort of)

What I may end up doing is building another LP later this year and swapping the necks depending on what I get.  I was thinking about something like the Blue Burst below but with a Black Korina back.  I was looking at the one below actually and someone snagged it off the showcase thus taking that decision out of the equation.  However, the back is dyed blue and I'm not a big fan of that anyway so it may have been for the best.  I think it is going to look good on what I got, but it may look better on this blue.
