A question for Mayfly (or anybody, but I'm pretty sure mayfly would know)

Do you know if a b-bender could be installed in a Warmoth thinline body? I am worried that the hardware needs more of that wood to be mounted correctly.

I am not Mayfly but I will just chip in with what I think.

Firstly you need to tell Warmoth not to rout the tone chamber behind the bridge.  They do it for customers who want to install Bigsby B5 tremolo units.

The other issue is to make sure the mounting screws for the back plate have some "meat" in the wood to hold it.

Other than that, I think it can be installed successfully.

Yep, what he said.  Should work as long as you've got solid wood behind the bridge.  Actually, might work fine even without solid wood behind the bridge!  The pull tower does not really need to contact the wood as long as the back plate is firmly attached to the body.

That's what I was hoping to hear! Thanks everybody. I just finished a build so I probably won't be building again for a while, but I'm 90% set on a telecaster, and was hoping it could be a thinline with a b-bender option. It may not be either, but if it must be a tele I know that it will at least have a neck p90 and traditional bridge/bridge pickup.
