My A string always snaps at the bridge. I have re strinnged my axe three times today, and only with careful tremolo use, it snaps... whattodo?

If it snaps at the bridge, at the point you have intonated it, it is most likely a burr on the bridge saddle.  Very carefully run your hand around there to feel for something abrasive like a burr.  Then with a little 320 sandpaper knock off the rough spot.  It is likely that it is causing a localized pressure point that is cutting into the string at tension (or greater tension if you are increasing the pitch) causing the string to snap.

After checking for the burr that may be snapping it one other thing you should do is not use the "Turn of the Titans" when tightening down the screw. That little black square thing in the bridge, if tightened too tight, will break a string no problem. Same for the lock at the nut. You don't need to tighten either of them so tight that you need WD-40 and a pipe wrench to unscrew them next time. One rule of thumb I use, if this makes any sense, is to tighten it down until the screw stops on it's own and then give it a little twist to make it snug. That's about all you really need.

I found a small burr, and carefully sanded it down, and I have been divebombing, reversed the bar and almost raped the tremolo without any broken strings! Thanks for the help guys.
