I wanted to call it "Warbird" but Dean already have a model of that name...dammit!

With that V body shape, I'd do the Explorer headstock.  The pointy Jackson one would look good on the V2.  The pointy one surprisingly still looks good though.  With the right finish on that Maple Top, that would be all anyone would notice.

Yeah, I did a mock up of the Explorer and to be honest the Jackson won out (for me anyway). It's interesting that the pointy headstock can look good with the rounder V body. Maybe it's the contrast? I already have a V2 with the Jackson headstock http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=10643.0 and I wanted to do something a little unorthodox. I found the body in the showcase. I'm going with green burst top and bottom and clear gloss on the neck. The beauty of the Warmoth parts is, if they don't match well, just get a different neck/body and bolt it up!

For the win...... :icon_thumright:

It's funny cos when I was younger I always wanted a Jackson Dinky reverse headstock but then I went off the reverse headstock idea totally.....but after your suggestion, Doug, I might be having a reverse relapse! It looks  :evil4:

For me it's a disease.... :laughing7:

That headstock works on King V styled body a bit better, the classic V shape seems a bit too rounded for the sharp angles of the Jackson headstock. Just one opinion, but I think they don't work with one another.

Well you asked for our thoughts, but always build what YOU want the way YOU want it. You'll never go wrong with that.  :icon_thumright:

I had people tell me not to go with a maple/maple neck on Burn Unit, but I knew what I wanted and got it anyway. I've never regretted it for a moment.

Yeah thats right, and I'm glad i did ask what other people thought, because I got at least one idea worth changing to (reverse headstock, shouts to Dangerous!  :rock-on: ) and on your maple/maple neck? Well it's just frickin' awesome and even the naysayers would have to admit that after seeing the finished product.
