As the owner of the first purpleburst Warmoth made, I congratulate you on your new guitar!  Great work all around.

High five, bro!

Thanks guys - the next one I'd like to make would look something like this (imagine it w/ a Black Korina body instead).

I've been working on it for several evenings this week. I'd say altogether it required about 12 hours of actual active assembly/setup effort. One of the slowest processes was simply spraying the headstock every night for a few nights in a row - allowing 24 hours between coats. I really wanted it to look perfect (no visible decal step at all) and I achieved that by taking my time.

The pickup screws I had turned out to be far too long, so that was a bit of a setback (dremel to the rescue), and I am horrible at wiring, so even with the minimal soldering I had to do, that part took me much longer than many others might take. I'd read all about people's struggles with tuner screws, so I was prepared for that battle, but even so that was one of the more difficult parts of the build. Ferrules on the peghead and back of the guitar were also tricky. Really wish I had a drill press to make that kind of stuff easier.

One pleasant surprise is that the neck really hasn't required any adjustment so far. It's already dialed in perfectly for the way I play - I was expecting a lot more tweaking in that regard.

Also - these Catswhisker WRHBs are excellent! I have Lollar Regals in another '72 Thinline and these are every bit as good (different good, not that they sound identical).

Congratulations, another vote for purple from me.

(It reminds me my purple burst Strat needs a brother one of these days :-)

I really like this - a good concept, well-executed.  Congratulations, hope you enjoy it!

That's sweet man, nice work! I wouldn't ever have thought myself a purple guitar guy, but every specimen I've seen around this place has been a real knock out. I reqlly like that purple burst. Any chance of sound clips? I'd love to hear those WRHBs...
