Yeah, some of those Gibson-futuristic metal-esque designs scream for a 7th string variation. The V and Explorer especially. In fact I'm pretty sure a Warmoth Explorer 7-string, in the right hands, would destroy all life on Earth instantly.

The existing Warmoth 7 design is a bit underwhelming.

Warmoth can cut a seven-string pocket in a lot of other bodies (for a fee, natch) but I would guess that might not be one of them - unless you wouldn't mind the sides of the neck hanging over the edges. The neck plate & screw placement is the same, the 25" scale length is do-able (maybe have to move a pickup route?), but the neck would overhang the body by 7/32" on each side. Looking at the pictures, it probably wouldn't even look bad, if you can talk/bribe them into doing it. The highest-fret screws on the seven neck look closer to the body than on a Strat pocket, otherwise you could just but a V body and re-shape the pocket yourself.

I think sombody on the board did a similar mod, giving a four string p-bass body a five string pocket, but I can't remember who...
