7/8 Strat Rear Route call for help

Called the W and they could not assist.

I am looking for the rear route template for a 7/8 Strat with the markings for the controls (paper is fine, a pic with a ruler is fine). I have a build in mind, but need to see if it will fit in it. Can anyone assist?

I’ve got a rear route 7/8 Tele. I believe the route for the control area are the same as for the 7/8 Strat. But I had mine routed without holes for the volume and switch and drilled those myself.
I’m not sure if that helps. But I could take some pictures and measurements if you want.

Not sure if it will help.  While I would like a template of all factory controls, I do need the placement of the blade switch as I can’t cut that myself. 

I guess I could go with a Freeway switch instead of a blade, so if I could get a template or dimensioned drawing/pic, that could get me going.  Dimensions alone won’t get me there. 

Need to see if I can fit a blade switch, 3 pots, a micro switch or 2 and a small PC board in there

You could probably have it cut for the blade switch only and drill the rest where you need them.

Your freeway switch idea might be the best. Or a 3-way toggle.

The rebate for the blade switch is probably there even if the actual slot isn't, so a clear photo might still help.

The best way I've found to route for a blade switch is to use a guide bushing on the router base. It's easy to make a 1/2" wide slot on your template and then use the guide bushing in that. Use an 1/8" bit and your golden.  :headbang1:
