510ub action woes

hello,

just got done setting up my warmoth VIP body but i'm having an issue with the 510UB bridge

the posts have been screwed all the way down (and no, they are not locked) but i still have a considerable amount of action between the strings and fretboard

i was thinking about shorting the posts down myself a bit so i could have bring the action down to my desired height but im curious if anyone else has had a similar issue or knows of a solution

Can't you just shim the neck?

Carved top with the gotoh 510 should have angled neck pocket.  It you do not shim the neck like the previous post said.  Use a business card.  A little comes a long way.

you think one paper business card will be enough? seems too good to be true! i will give it a shot

Warmoth may have given you the shallower of the neck pocket angles.
