5 string Jazz

What about a 5 string Jazz body shaped exactly like the 4, only with a wider neck pocket. IMO would be much nicer than the Deluxe V.

I'm sure they'll make a 5 string Jazz if you ask. Might be a bit of an upcharge, though. Shouldn't be ridiculous.

Wouldn't that just make it more neck heavy, which is already a bit of a problem for 5 stringers?

Hmm, can't see why, my Fender Deluxe V balances perfectly. My Warmoth Jazz 4 dives for fun.

you need the wider body of the J5 to account for the wider neck. if you don't make the body wider you'll have even less room for your hand in the lower cutaway - and that's a very bad thing
