4 way neck cover ground?

Hey guys. I would like to wire my tele up with the standard 4 way switch mod, and the SD diagram say that the neck cover needs to be ground seperately. What if the neck pickup has no cover? Like the rio grande set. Thanks.

You can't ground something if it isn't there. I'm no expert, but I'd say don't worry about it.

If you have no metal cover, why would you need a ground ?

Hahaha I know, I know. I was just wondering if "cover" ground became the ground for the whole pickup or something. I wont pretend that I know electronics :laughing7: Just covering my assets haha.

Youl need to go buy a cover for that pup and ground it properly, and since you don't plan to install it on the pickup, just duct tape it to the back of your guitar in a spot where you can easily run the ground wire to your controll cavity.

Don't forget to tape your metal cover in a spot that still allows you to play comfortably  :toothy10:

No, no no.  He'll have to install a cover to run the ground and route out the front to expose the magnets.  Just don't forget to file down the razor-sharp edges... :toothy12:
