4+2 Headstock?

I'm wondering why there isn't an option for a 4+2 style headstock ala Musicman? As far as I know the design isn't copyrighted and I imagine it would be relatively popular.

The design is not only copyrighted, it's patented.  That's why Carvin/Kiesel can only do a 2+4 design and not a 4+2.  A company called 211 Guitars had to change their design for this reason.

Yes, the design is definitely copyrighted and Big Poppa, otherwise known as Sterling Ball pursues protecting it as he should.

It was an option up until about 10-11 years ago when W got the "cease & desist" letter from EBMM's "Guy with the tie".
