Hi
I want to put a 22 fret neck on a 24 fret guitar body.  the neck is 25 1/2 scale.  would there be any problems in me doing this?  I am new to putting guitars together. much help would be appreciated.  The neck pocket is the same as the guitar body pocket.  I just want to make sure that I have no intonation problems.  I have a charvel neck 22 frets 25 1/2 scale and the body is a jackson soloist body which usually has a 24 fret neck.

I have no knowledge of Charvel or Jackson necks/bodies, but it's easy enough to figure out if that'll work. Put the neck you want on the body you want, and measure from the 12th fret to the bridge, and the 12th fret to the nut. Both distances should be 12.75", give or take a few thousandths. If so, you're fine. If not, then you're out of luck.
