I hope everyone found these monthly contests fun.  I would like them to continue to 2010.  There should be a lot of cool builds from the Warmoth 20% off sale.  I know Tonar is already working on a flame maple/alder beauty.... :hello2:

BRILLIANT!
I am very honored!! my first full Warmoth project, and yes, the most beautiful one too!!!

Thanks all, and especially thanks to DMRACO! I will work on some new ones to be able to participate again next year :)

 I demand a re-count!!!  I'm gonna pull a "Franken" 'cause I know you guys and gals clicked the wrong box!!!  :dontknow:

j/k Congratulations Marko, sweet guitar.  :headbang:

Congratulations Markooooooo!

BTW - I think the second and third place winners should be up on the home page as well...

This will now be my automatice trump card to end all arguements ".....Yeah, well I know MarkO and he had the guitar of the year on the Unofficial Warmoth site.... so there!"

FWIW, Doug and I thought we were voting to put a Floyd on it.

Thanks again all!

Gary, at one point (during planning) I was going to put a floyd on it, but changed my mind last minute.

I'm sure I already told this before, but I built this originally to replicate a fender Elan (the Elan I is a hardtail, and the Elan III has a floyd). I always wanted one but couldn't find one for a decent price. but after drooling over the Warmoth page for about a year, I got more and more fascinated by all the exotic wood options.. so this is what it evolved into.

btw, I went for the hardtail because this was going to be my final guitar (so naive) and I already had a fender with a floyd. oh, and I did find a Fender Elan I since then... still want a Elan III though.

* one more edit: this guitar was basically a birthday gift from my lovely wife, who also was involved in "designing" it. so thanks to the wife too! :)
