This is a hard decision to make, but I've got an engagement ring to buy!
I'm selling my beloved Top Hat Head. The chassis has been moved into a newer logo head shell (has a few nicks from moving), but the chassis is pure Block Logo goodness and is in excellent shape with ZERO issues.
This amp is beyond rare - 35W from 4 6V6s! It produces the best Blackface and Vox tones with a very lush, all tube reverb circuit. You will probably see these come up for sale once every 5 years or so; people do not get rid of these and it's taken 2 years of searching to find this one. Tubed with all NOS tubes - Amperex Bugleboy/Holland, Westinghouse, GE...will include spare quad of NOS GEs, as well.
2000 and earlier Block Logo Top Hats are considered to be the best by purists. This golden age Top Hat is in excellent shape. It's also known for taking OD/Distortion pedals extremely well, unlike other Blackface inspired amps.
