1 3/4" nut,, anyone use one?

I KNOW 1 11/16" nut is a standard size for a tele.....iam buying a neck and looking for some feedback on  A  1 3/4" SIZE nut,,,,, if you have one installed on your gtr,,, or had used one in the past..?

You're only talking 1/16" (.062") difference over what's approaching 2". The hand can feel surprisingly small differences in neck geometry, but I tend to think on that one you'd probably get used to it fairly quickly.

I hated it. Even though it's such a small difference, my 1 3/4 SRV neck feels huge compared to my two 1 11/16th SRV necks.

I like it, but mostly because I can cut a nut for what would be about standard 1 11/16" spacing and have a little more room around the strings, which lets me do a nicer job on "hot-dogging" the fret ends. AND I like boatnecks... I am of the persuasion that tone comes first - no matter what else - and because of that, I'm in favor of anything that adds more wood to the neck. It's possible to get a great sound with a dinky neck, but it means that everything else has to be more right. More righter?  :icon_scratch: I hate strings that fall off the edge too, and a wider neck gives you more latitude. I think fat fingers have more to do with the preference than long fingers, BTW.

All 3 of my warmoths are 1-3/4" nuts.
I like the extra width.

thanks for the input.........i will be buying  warmoth 10-16 radius..neck....a fat tele neck...boatneck,,, 59 round...not sure but fat... and i like to bend alot,,,like crazy....have a tele now with a fatter neck,, luv it...!
