Very classy build man! The Mockingbird has always been my favorite BC Rich shape out of all the rest and that guitar just kills. Killer looking top and the black dye is another fav of mine as far as colors go. I tried the 85 in the bridge on a Gothic SG I used to have and didn't like it as it...
Ahhhhhh.....well live and learn I guess. What kind/brand of sanding sealer do you recommend I use after stripping it down that would be compatable with the Tru-Oil?
I was under the impression that Alder was a pretty tight grained wood so that's why I didn't end up using a sealer before applying the oil. So it doesn't matter how many additional coats of Tru Oil I apply it's not going to end up filling the grain eventually? Jeeez....I would hate to have to...

Wow.....that is very, very nice. I would love to build a string through baritone SG with a recessed tune-o-matic in matte black. I like the extra thickness on the body. Cross inlays look bad as hell too.
It would also be cool to do a Dean ML shape and the Dean neck with the V headstock. I love the Dean ML's and have a 79' reissue but I would love to make one out of Warmoth parts. What about the Jackson Kelly...do they offer that? The King V isn't on their list as a body option but they made one...
Ok, cool. So do I apply the sanding sealer after the stain coats? And as far as sanding between coats....does fine steel wool or sand paper work better? Thanks for the advice.....I appreciate it.
Hey guys......I'm getting ready to apply the finish to my body for my Warmoth project. I have a King V made of Alder and I have a direction I was thinking about going in but I want to make sure that I'm doing this right. Basically I like the look of natural wood so I was thinking about applying...
