I don't know how I overcame my obsession to build another complete Warmoth bass, but it somehow ended up on my Fender Jazz as planned  :o Now I might have to build an entire Warmoth instaed  :doh:

I totally agree - it's a very nice neck. I'm just wondering if it ts to nice to be used as planned - a replacement for US VRI '62 Jazz Bass  :icon_scratch: Maybe it should be for a complete Warmoth - any comments/ideas?

The fingerboard is Brazilian Rosewood - turned out quite nice I think. The back is obviously Birdseye Maple - also quite nice, and better than I expected.

In order to end the discussion of pickguard or not I just want to point out the bass is now completed and posted in the P-Bass Gallery of this forum.  :)

Well, my first ever Warmoth build is finally finished. It’s somewhat based on the bass used by Dusty Hill of ZZ Top – hence the name  :headbang: That is, it is almost finished – I’m still awaiting the string through bridge, but it should arrive shortly. Body: 54’ P-Bass 1-piece extra light...

I'm sad to say I have not build a Warmoth guitar yet, but hope to do it soon. All I've done so far is i Warmoth bass
