well when i had called them they said they could probably do a koa top but it was at a shallower carve.
it was after my call that i realised they advertised it offered it on maple/ash/alder.
i dunno im kicking around wenge so Ill probably call them back and maybe get a more...
Well i woulda never thought of it but my friend has apparently done this a few times before and he suggested it.
but i was very suprised at how well it works against the grain of the wood.
Well I actually made this a long time ago and it sat around with the body unfinished. recently a buddy and me stained and cleared it(with a hint of blue pearl too).
Barden blades liptish single and humbucker.
Also im changing the pickguard to black soon.
I am looking for a hot p90 sound.
i play mostly blues but I wanna make a guitar with a little less twang than my swamp ash tele w/barden blades.
i am planning on a hollow body VIP with a black korina body and a wenge neck/fretboard on a 24 /34 scale.
its gonna be a raw finish ...
