You can see an example of DIY ready swamp ash and a description at the below page.

I would say what grain you will see is going to be dependent on what you spray over it, though the grain is filled, and the surface will be smooth. But you can see the grain.
Warmoth necks will not be compatible with it and not worth attempting.
The best you can do with it is mod it slightly - pickup and tuner swap for example, replace the frets if needed. But to be accurate it is not a build or assembly, it is a mod or repair.
It looks like it has the wider “vintage” string spacing to me, based on the string spread over the pole pieces of the neck and bridge humbuckers. Also both E strings are quite close to the edge of the fretboard.
But it is not a Vintage Fender, as it has no bent steel saddles etc. It also has...
I suspect that Jescar who makes the fret wire is no longer able to make it as the company that made the alloy used for EVO gold no longer makes it.
Hence, when any stocks are gone, it's gone.
Get a P Bass body with a 7/8 side jack hole and then use the P bass pickguard but instead of having a jack in the third "input" hole, use that for the third potentiometer.
Use the same approach for a rear rout.
@Strangs I am not sure if your post was to the thread in general or in response to my post before it.
Note I said about the string gauge sounding less balanced and more towards treble, talking about EQ of the strings tone wise. My comment is not about string tension.
Apart from string tension, I would suspect those gauges tuned to E standard on a baritone would tend to sound somewhat less balanced and more towards a treble or thinner tone.
Have you tried a 25.5" 24 fret neck, perhaps that might be all that is needed for the extra space at the higher frets...
@stollie many thanks.
That's a good choice for frets and nut. Of course, the tuner holes only have one option for the SSB neck. And roasted maple, you do not need to have a finish.
It looks okay to me what is visible, though you might want to order a neck plate, neck screws and neck plate pad and other basic hardware in the same order.
One other thing to consider is if you were to go with EMG Active J pickups, which have solderless cable connections, you would then...
You should definitely go with which way round feels right for you. I am left-handed, but actually play guitar “right handed” which seemed more natural to me and was a personal choice.
Take a look also at the Welcome to the Forum thread linked in my signature, that in turn has lots of links to build threads, threads with useful information etc.
