Add an LR Baggs Tune-o-matic, change on tone control to a master tone, the other into a piezo volume and you'd have a beast. I like the fact that with the SG, you can drop the piezo wiring through the pick guard and leave the body stock. :toothy10:
The SG body style seems to be a fairly rare Warmoth build. Any ideas why? :icon_scratch: Comfort? :sad1: Looks? :-\
Might be interesting to take a poll on why people like specific body shapes. Thoughts?
Jack, which airline has that BS seat reg? Over Christmas I counted at least a dozen accoustics in gig-bags that were obvious carry-ons. I asked one woman and she said she was putting it in the over-head bin and traveled frequently that way with no issues.
I had thought about taking the neck...
I should have been more careful in the post. I had the wood in the photo shipped directly to Warmoth. They seemed okay with it. As for hollow, I meant to "hollow option" as opposed to an "F-hole" configuration. Other than the one bark inclusion, pretty sure there are no soft spots on that...

Also, after you build a few (it took only one for me) I stopped using kits because I didn't like the components provided. For example, there are some killer designs on the AX84 site but Doberman only offered...
Hey RoundMidnight,
Have you tried any of the Heyboer iron? Wondering how it compares against the Weber stuff you use. Let me know how your Melissa build turns out. I used to hang out with Carl & John before moving to Austin.

Are you wanting to run both stereo and mono jack plugs? Plugging a mono plug into a stereo jack shorts the stereo pin to ground (great for saving batteries BTW).
If I understand what you are trying to do, running the "both" setting, you'll be mixing magnet and piezo signal on both the mono...
I would like to draw some conclusions form this very interesting thread.
Using two old fender and four hand-built tube amps with an FX chain of: Guitar->Tube Amp, the tone of the guitar really stands out even with high-gain preamp settings. The original neck pickup in my '80 LP Custom sounds...
