    Little practice amp

I'm not sure why nobody talks about these, but I love my Line 6 Toneport UX-1 as a practice (headphone) amp. You get loads of quality amp mods and effects for less than $200...

    '54 P Bass?

I want a rear rout because I'm using active electronics. I want a pickguard because I'm putting solid paint on (likely) an ash body AND I like pickguards. The '54 on the Warmoth site has a pickguard, I guess the regular P pickguard won't fit.

    '54 P Bass?

It's kinda hard to tell from the Warmoth site... I'm interested in a '54 P Bass body (rear routed), with split-coil P p\up and a pickguard. Will a regular P pickguard fit on a '54 or do I need to make my own design?  thanks.

Anybody with experience with 2Tek bridges?

It's pretty damn heavy though.  I think around 5 lbs!. I've decided on a Modulus Genesis neck for this one.  I've tracked down whoever has Boogie Body Guitars and he's got all the original templates.    So if I can work out a fair price I'm gonna get him to install it on a Warmoth Pbass.

Anybody with experience with 2Tek bridges?

None of you bass players remember the Hamer 2Tek from the mid 90's? The 2Tek was supposed to be a great advancement in bridge technology.  The company  (2Tek) went under 'cause the bridges cost over $200 and Hamer (and Peavy for one model) were the only big manufacturer's to give them a chance...

Anybody with experience with 2Tek bridges?

I've got a 4 string bass bridge that I've had hanging around for quite a while.  I'm debating putting it to use on a new build, but I'm not really sure if it's weight is going to be too heavy, or is it worth it (tone\sustain) wise to route that huge gap out of the body???

    SC, P90 & HB

Yeah, I've got too many ideas for guitars to build.  This will be a lefty.  I've had my eye on this one...http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee107/skydigger68/sglstratmain.jpg I love the "parchment" pickguard, knobs and p\up covers... I thought the unique pickup combo would be cool (if it...

    SC, P90 & HB

Thinking of doing something a little different to a strat build. What, if any problems will I have if install a SC in neck position, P90 in middle and an HB in the bridge? Is this even feasible?

thoughts? on les paul with p90s

he's starting to aound a little spoiled.  :laughing7: Walnut would be a little more unique, plus more importantly It'll provide  the LP with a bit more warmth than the maple.

    Fretless Bass?

I realize intotation can be difficult, but is fretless playing easier than fretted? Which one would be your preference for a beginner? :dontknow:

    Firemist Gold Strat

I had email contact with someone at Warmoth regarding their "goldtop gold" and i was told that it didn't quite look like Gibson's.  It sure looks more orangy on their website.  The firemist doesn't look too far off the colour you're after.  I wouldn't stress out too much over the exact colour. ...
