My first Warmoth - Blue Dyed Z Body

I wanna see it!!! I absolutely love this guitar. I have played more in the last year than in the last 13 years because I LOVE this guitar. I'm pretty sure the love I feel isn't quite legal.

CUSTOM CASES (Also Known as "If I build a Lefty Iceman, where do I put it!?)

I need a good case for my Z-body. Either hard, or a GOOD soft case.

Updated Pics of my Warmoth(warning: potential arousal ahead)

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize there were any as I didn't get an email notification! I love them. Essentially they're an improved set of 81/60. The clean is whre they really shine. Thats how I feel. I have an ESP with a transparent mahogany back and every time I look at...

Updated Pics of my Warmoth(warning: potential arousal ahead)

So, I've posted pics before, but I've slightly modified it since then. Initially I had a gloss nitro finish that I did. However I'm not a pro. I'm far from it and I did a sub-par job. It had thousands of microscratches that bothered me to no end. I took the guitar apart and I put a satin nitro...

September 2011Guitar/Bass of the month submissions ( 8 entries )

I really hope the banjitar wins. While I dislike the thing immensly I can only imagine what kind of passion was put into making that guitar. I believe the GotM should go to guitars that really took some effort to do. A few months back a guitar won that wasn't even finished. Kick to the balls of...

    Satin finish

THe way I see it, is I can strip it down and start from scratch, but I was eager to try the satin paint. Can't wait to put this guy together!

    Satin finish

I understand your concern. I've been finishing guitars in nitro for almost 30 years. I've just never used the satin. I am not actually using sandpaper. With all my finishes after curing for 2-3 days I wipe it down with a microfiber cloth just to prevent the overspray from hardening too much...

    Satin finish

Alright, I cleaned up the guitar, sanded with 800 grit and sprayed the satin. From the looks of it, it has come out perfect. I haven't touched it since yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to wipe it down with a microfiber. I've found that to be the best way to remove overspray particles. Can't...

    Satin finish

I have a guitar finished in Seagraves satin clear(nitro). I'm not really happy with the finish. Its been curing for a few years now and it still has that sticky feel to it. Can I simply wipe it down with naptha and spray colortone satin clear nitro over it? I really don't want to sand back to...
