Guitar is now in the hands of Lindquist Guitarservice here in my hometown, for the final fretwork, soldering and intonation adjustments. Very exited to get it back, ready to rock!

It will only be a 3 way for selecting pickups. I have a mini switch in addition to switch between hot and "soft" setup. Soft meaning that the humbucker will be coil splitted and the single coil tapped.

I want a 3 way (Gibson type) pickup switch placed where the strat is not routed - so some DIY routing was necessary:     Had good help from my uncles neighbor:   Here it is started:     Almost finished (forgot taking a pic when it was sanded and smooth). You easily see that this is a...

    Quilted Purple Strat Build

Really nice guitar - and details from the build process. Why do you prethread the screw holes? I'm about to put the pick guard on my build and don't want to screw it up.....

Did not get the RS parts I initially wanted - so I ended up with a couple of Bourns Model 82 Vintage Premium Guitar Potentiometers, and some Switchcraft parts. Should be of a good enough quality I assume.

If I get around to submitting for Guitar of the Month I sure hope this one is not submitted the same month! It looks awesome!

I might have been a bit quick in ordering - forgot pots and switches as well..... Well these are luckily things that are easy to get locally :)

Ok - here are the picks :) (I filed the hole for the humbucker in the pick guard - no patience to complain to send it back and get a new one) Is it normal that there are no screws for attaching the pick guard to the guitar in the package?

Oh it looks sweet https://m.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.720785827939491.1073741829.100000242413025&type=1 But the humbucker hole in the pickguard is slightly to small :(

I was not making a general statement, just clarifying the main reason why I'm putting locking tuners on this guitar which will have a locking nut as well. I've had (and still have) several guitars with Floyd trems (since my very first guitar bought almost 25 years ago), and have others with...

It will have a locking nut. Locking tuners are mostly for faster/easier string changes.

H+S wiring with a twist - how to wire it?

Thanks for the answer. I will go for a simpler solution. I'll let the two pickups go to different volume pots - and have a mini-switch witch will tap/split both of the pickups, no matter what position the selector-switch will be in. Should be pretty straight forwards - something like this...
