why do some tele bodies have this?

I'm pretty sure thats for the bridge plate ground wire to go down into the bridge pickup route and to the control cavity. Warmoth tele bodies have a small hole drilled at an angle from under the bridge plate that goes directly to the control cavity for grounding. (as seen in the first picture...

    Second-build feedback

I believe they're like Novaks; proper construction with threaded rod magnets, but maybe not CuNiFe. Should sound good!

    Second-build feedback

Fender is making and selling real CuNiFe WRHBs again but unless explicitly noted as being CuNiFe, the wide range hubuckers that come in most of the current Fender guitars are still using the PAF-ish construction, (bar magnet and steel screw pole pieces) under a wide range cover. Overachieving VIP Hollowbody

Sounds like a fun build! I'm not sure that I'd recommend getting your p-rails overwound/hotter like that: sounds like a recipe for mud, at least in the series humbucker mode I had a set of stock p-rails in my first Warmoth build. The p90 coil tone was pretty stinkin' good and so was the sound...

Anyone put 24 frets on a Jazzmaster?

I have a 22 fret JM and while the access to the 22nd fret is pretty good, my fingers can't reach much beyond that, so I'm not sure how useful 24 frets would be. As far or tone though, the 24 fret extension/pickup reposition would move the neck pickup a little closer to the bridge, which will...

    Happy Thanksgiving all!!

Treble Bleed; Variants and personal experiences?

I don't have a strong knowledge of how exactly it works, but per my understanding the trim pot adjusts how much treble is added back to the signal. I don't think it affects the frequency range, but I could be wrong
