Hello,
About gold hardware, here is my warmoth strat, not too far looking from your beautifull one.
(here is the photoshop sketch, i'm looking for the real pics but my harddrive is a mess...)
and a blurry incomplete real pic.
The hardware is not THAT much taking the eye fo the woods, which...
I guess I'll have to go custom...
thxs yes it's my first project.
you'll have details here http://www.oliviermarian.com/warmoth
here are some pics
i think it shows well the quality of warmoth's stuff.
I still need to show my second project:
i hope to be back with best pics soon.
If i understand your question, you are surprised that some people buy used fender parts on ebay for more than a new warmoth part ?
I am sure you are aware that many people build like this 'vintage' guitars from separate but same period parts, and resale it for a lot of money...
for a buyer...
Thks Jack, yes I can get some from many places through ebay also, but
- i'm in belgium and I'd rather have only one order and shipping
- why Warmoth does not sell those? any technical reason ?
thxs
Hello
i'm looking to bluid my 3rd project as a les paul, but There are only 3 necks, and only two in 24 3/4 which I believe is the regular gibson scale...
why are ther so few in the showcase ?
do you plan to have more or should I make a special order ?
thxs
Olivier.
i'd like to build a les paul that looks like a les paul... could you make available some nice les paul tuners (tulip i think they are called in english).
thxs
Olivier.
I own one of those fender 56'. It's a REALLY nice guitar, with the mary kay white finish slightly cracked, and a nice falmed maple neck like you find on some nice clapton strats. vintage gold hardware. a beauty.
neck is big but I like it.
Difficult to decide.
i'm lucky enough to have it and...
Thxs Nathan for the size, I'll check on ebay, but why warmoth does not propose those ? is there a license problem or do they think they are not reliable enough ? greg ?
Also most of the showcase necks are with dots, not with trapeze inlay... strange for me...
That head is very nice. It's all wenge neck ? one piece ?
Do you know why warmoth does not sale any gibson style tuners ? (though yours look gorgeous on this neck).
ouch that naural binding and that neck figuring... argh very nice...
I am waiting for a nice showcase body to build a LP and this gives me nice ideas.
Cheers,
olivier.
