No place for a bridge ground?? Rear-route Thinline

Right, I understand my options now - thanks guys. If the pickup ring butts right up against the edge of the bridge then I could discreetly run some copper tape from the pickup cavity to the bridge. If not, and there is a gab that would show the strip of copper, I'll drill myself a very sideways...

No place for a bridge ground?? Rear-route Thinline

AirCap the issue isn't getting a wire from the control cavity to the bridge pickup route, it's getting it from the bridge pickup route to the bridge, as they are totally independent in this build. Please see the link in my last post to see what I mean.

No place for a bridge ground?? Rear-route Thinline

Thank you all for your responses! Maybe I should have been a little clearer; the guitar will have a short tele bridge, and humbucker mounting ring exactly like this...

No place for a bridge ground?? Rear-route Thinline

Hi guys, do any of you wizards have any suggestions on how to get a ground wire from the back cavity to somehow make contact with the strings? There's no bloody hole to run a wire to underneath the bridge like you can see in the red ring. The only thing I can think of, is that I think the...

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

When you say there isn't room, do you mean the overhang isn't long enough for them to round the corners? If so, I understand. Yeah I'm sure you're right about the DIY job tbh. I don't plan on ordering a raw neck though, because I want the gloss/vintage tint and having this applied out the...

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

I would like to get rid of the overhang, but I don't really have the tools or experience in woodwork to pull that off. I know it's because Les Pauls always had 22 frets and square boards, but just because I want my F-style guitar to have a Gibson scale length doesn't mean I want to emulate the...

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

Haha okay thanks man. I don't have the body atm as a friend is spraying it for me, but once I've got it back I'll see how near the bridge I can mount the neck pup in the route. I'm sure you're right about the gap too, especially if I can line the end of the board up nicely with the pup ring...

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

Pete that information is so valuable, you have no idea - this is the only place online where I've managed to source that. Stratamania the issue is that I've only got 11mm between the neck heel and my neck pup route, and the neck pup will be mounted in a ring as the guitar has no pickguard. If I...

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

Thanks Pete! How do you know, do you own one? Rgand, yeah it’s square to look more LP-like I suppose. Wish they made the 24.75” necks with 21 frets and no overhang tbh

24.75" Scale Conversion neck - fretboard overhang

I'm planning on ordering a 24.75" Scale conversion neck but I can't find anything about the size of the fretboard overhang, which could be an issue for me. I can see that the standard 25.5" necks have a 1/4" 22 fret overhang (right?) but the 24.75" fretboard is clearly a different shape. Any...
