I've acquired over half so far! Most of the ones that I still need were custom made, so I'll go that route for some of them. The Totoro one is easy to come by, but me being very particular, I want to make sure it's the exact size and shade :D. The ones I'd like to get most right now are the owl...
This will be for a replica of that guitar. I want it to be as true to the original build as possible, even with the awkward string spacing not matching the pickup poles.
Thanks again! I follow the other Weezer thread, but it's more focused on his original Blue Strat from the 90s. This stickered seafoam one is from the late 00s. I am starting to lean on it being a Hipshot hardtail with Graphtech String Saver saddles, just not sure if its vintage spacing or modern...
I'm trying to narrow down what bridge Rivers Cuomo is using in this build.
The Strat is a Warmoth build, but I don't believe the bridge is 54mm spaced Warmoth's Narrow Spaced Strat Flat Mount, because the 52mm string saver saddles don't appear to have a gap between them. The chrome on his...
I ordered that Chinese bridge in the summer (in brass before they offered chrome) it's close, but I didn't end up using it. The sustain bar in the middle is not a solid block, there's holes underneath the block, and it's missing the two screws on the top of the bridge.
Thanks again for your help. I think I had read that information about the pickup swaps, but I can’t seem to recall from where. Do you happen to have a source for it?
it kind of looks like an upside down neck pick up, right? The little copper square holes (sorry not sure what to call these) are on the right side of the bridge.
Is there information on what pickups are used on his Seafoam Green "Mei" Strat? i assume he's using the same Super Distortion 2 in the neck, but the spacing for the bridge looks like it's NOT a trembucker, maybe it's a Seymour Duncan SH-1b '59? Different pickguard on this one, might be a Warmoth...
It was everything I could hope for. They played a bunch of deep cuts, including "Angel and the One", a song I had been requesting for many years, and it was only the second time they played it! It was at The Constellation Room, a small 250 capacity venue.
