Thank you all! It turned out to be a wonderful project, and my 2nd Warmoth overall. I really love this guitar, and it has become my favorite over the last year.

Great story! I've spent a whole lot on SD pickups, too. Every guitar (except my 1982 The Strat) has them now! I had some Custom Shop ones made for the Warmoth build earlier in the year.

How about a set of P-Rails and Triple Shot rings? I am biased since I work for Seymour Duncan, but they really are wonderful pickups.

Right out of the box, here is my chambered quilted maple/korina flat top Velocity with satin finish.

I have a Velocity body being built now. I chose it because Teles are generally uncomfortable, and the Velocity is more compact, with the contours I like.

Warmoth CS determined that the headstock side was the right side to do this. Otherwise the mounting holes wouldn't line up. Very little material was removed, so the bridge can certainly compensate.

Warmoth CS was great. They stated that every LSR prep includes a test-fit of the LSR, so something like wood swelling may have occurred here. They offered to take it back, or if I wanted to, slowly file the back wall (headstock side) of the nut slot. I did this very slowly, taking off very...

I will send an email to Warmoth. I don't have a problem slightly sanding the front or back of the LSR slot, but the holes might not line up if I do that. I will see what Warmoth says.
