    Mahogany JB Strat

Thanks evreybody! NonsenseTele: I know, I overdone with a tremolo a bit - still working on this tune. Those non-pleasing sounds are from palm vibrato I'm not really good at. But it's first try, I'm not gonna give up)) Thanks for listening. It does not sound like LP, neigher like Strat. I...

I did it... badly, but I did... tons of strings broken

Thanks a lot for the links - I did not see them. I guess I need to try a basswood body now  :laughing7:  Here is another one http://www.ainian.com/PRIOR.PDF To make long story short the main problem is the LSR roller nut. It has rubber pads on the back which are dampering a bit and LSR...

    Who needs string tees?

I guess you can avoid string trees if u use an older version of Wilkinson Roller Nut (one with angled slots on lower strings). I played guitar with a nut like that and had no problems with sustain or diving/vibrato harmonics - it did not have string trees. I'm still in search for that nut - very...

    Carvin Pickups?

Carvin? They probably the best money/quality/playability/sound option out there. I've a stunning H2T guitar. Basically I usually play and sell instruments, but this one is only one I'll never sell. I can't say much about pups, I just never thought about changing them cause the guitar sounds just...

I did it... badly, but I did... tons of strings broken

According to some sources he uses from 10-49 up to 11-52, but I doubt he's using anything past 10-48  :icon_biggrin: He uses Wilkinson Roller Nut which does not allow more than 10-46 by default (that's what people say). That trem bar I've got with the guitar, I thought it's pretty standard ...

I did it... badly, but I did... tons of strings broken

Thanks for listening, The zippo should not be there, but I dropped my glass slider on the floor during the gig and it broke into pieces. Now the zippo is my slider, but it's not very accurate. The guitar itself has all kind of problems with the neck, thats why there are so many sound artifacts...

    Keeping a Wilkinson in Tune

Well.... I tryed an Am.Std. bridge on the hipshot studs today... and it worked flawless.... So it's a bridge problem. I've noticed that supposed to be a "bearing" was not actually rotating and has a deep mark from contacting a stud. A plate itself has a mark just above a bearing . Never hipshot...

    Keeping a Wilkinson in Tune

I have kinda same problem. I installed Hipshot trem along with LSR Nut and Sperzels. Well, I lubricated everything on the string path and the tremolo contact points. But still when I bend with a tremolo even a 1/2 tone up all strings going sharp (about 30-40 cents on low E, 20-30 on G and 10-20...

Anybody seen this new whammy bridge?

What I don't like from what I see is you will feel the transition point when you'll try to do a vibrato with this thing - one block will touch the other one. And I undestand that floating range should be much less than on standard or floyd tremolo, cause the saddles don't actually move. Also...
