Oh wow, this business of the Mustang necks fitting the 7/8 bodies is a game-changer for me. I have wanted a 24" scale guitar with tremolo for the longest time, but I hate the Mustang and Jaguar bodies. I can live with a 7/8 Strat body.

Here's a carved top LPS on Reverb right now. As you can see, it does not look weird, at all:

I was drooling over that a few minutes ago, and the other day a gorgeous 24.75" Vortex neck was on Reverb, too, for about $450, I think? Only thing wrong with that body is, the bridge. I want a vibrato.

I was looking up the PRS headstock as a comparison, but I guess I was wrong. I had it in my head that they had a completely straight string pull.

My two favourite bodies have long been the carved top LPS and VIP, but I found out the LPS was discontinued thanks to pressure from a certain Nashville manufacturer who shall go unnamed. Does anyone know if it's coming back someday with a slightly different design?

Wow, that is gorgeous. I would like a quartersawn maple 3+3 neck with a black ebony board and matching headstock finish (or just gloss black like Fender FSR Strat models), with a gloss vintage tint. I would consider roasting that, too.
