Yeah I guess there is a lot of the phony Knock off stuff going around. It actually didn't cross my mind when I posted, but I can see everyone's concern once I stopped to think about.

Perhaps I would like to buy a staight Paddle neck to put my own shape on it and do not feel that the Warmoth logo is waranted. Not everybody is a thief.

I wipe it down with Naptha....Then mineral spirits...then distilled water with a drop or 2 of ammonia...then VERY lightly sand back any grain that might have been raised with the water. I also use a different clean rag for each solution and I wear rubber gloves so oils from my hands don't get on...

Last maple neck that I got from Warmoth I just gave it a very light sanding with 400grit and then tru-oiled with no problems.

I have just finished spraying dye on my Warmoth Tele body for the second time. I have about 3 or 4 spots that won't seem to take the dye. I resanded everything down to the bare wood again.
